Role summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing some Company Strategies for Strategic Products Categories, while supervising a team of Category Leads and Technical Experts based globally.

What you will need to do:

  • Propose on a yearly basis for Corporate Management review and approval a strategic roadmap or plan with main objectives, initiatives, saving target and action plan.
  • Mentor, train and provide guidelines continuously to the Category Management team. When required he will propose some new Category Lead and Technical Expert based on achievements and best skills available.
  • Perform rigorous analysis based on internal category data available and market research, work with Procurement Category Leads /Technical Experts to develop savings hypotheses and analysis around hypotheses
  • Re-assess continuously the procurement strategies defined and ensure to develop the adequate route to market for each service/product.
  • Report on a bi-weekly basis with the Corporate Management to align continuously action plan, proposed strategy and resources assigned.
  • Propose negotiation strategies and participate in the final negotiation (pricing, contract finalization) with the Category Leads when required, and exploring gain-share mechanism with suppliers
  • Manage the preparation of the final recommendation package for Corporate Management review and presentation to the senior Management.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Procurement team and Projects/Sites Team to ensure proper communication and implementation.

What you will need to have:

  • Master of Business in Strategic Procurement or Master in Procurement or Supply Chain Management 
  • University degree in Engineering
  • Overall, 10 years’ experience in work related field including 5 years as Procurement Manager at Department or Corporate level.
  • Previous experience in EPC Marine Construction and/or Oil & Gas Complex projects.
  • A demonstrable experience equivalent to minimum 5 years managing Category Management, Frame agreement and contract management
  • Fluency in the English language (oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and any other related software.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships and manage reporting at Project, Regional, Division and Corporate level with people of various cultures & nationalities
  • Pro-activeness and can-do attitude with minimum resource
  • Very strong presentation and reporting skills as well as ability to interface with senior management
  • Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
