Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a qualified Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our top qualified and knowledgeable Operations Control team, based in Athens Office.

As a Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for reinforcing the MID-Operations Control team in Athens Office, to be able to cover the needs of the new awards.

Role summary:

In this role, you will be supporting projects that are located abroad and contribute to the operational efficiency of the Project Controls department. You will assist in monitoring, updating and reporting the project status and contribute to the team effort to meet the project’s objectives in terms of scope, cost and time.

What you will need to do:

  • Cost Control: Monitor cost performance, follow and assist in the preparation of budget forecast
  • Provide recommendations for improvement actions regarding cost and schedule performance
  • Provide support to Project Controls Site teams whenever required including site visits
  • Review and consolidate the projects internal reporting
  • Review the projects external reporting and provide comments
  • Assist in preparation of claims and variations
  • Risk Management: Identify, communicate risks, response plans and assess the cost impact
  • Develop training material for Project Controls functions and systems and lead training sessions
  • Follow and implement the established Project Controls’ processes as well as Company’s policies and procedures
  • Travel around the Company’s international operations for up to 25% of your working time  

What you will need to have:

  • BSc degree in Civil/Marine Engineering
  • Min. eight (8) years working experience in project controls/ cost control
  • Knowledge or strong understanding of key Cost control, Budgeting, Pricing & Estimation concepts 
  • EPC Contracting and / or overseas experience would be considered a major advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera and AutoCAD are highly welcomed
  • Fluency in English language
