Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a a full of potential and reliable Planning Manager to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team of Engineers in our mega project in Neom, Saudi Arabia

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, he will be responsible for all delivery aspects of the project scope (planning and coordination) ensuring the maximum allocation of resources and that effective controls and procedures are in place on the site.

As a leader of this team, he will be required to create an environment for exceptional team performance to ensure team roles, skills and behavior are aligned with the Project objectives and requirements.

What you will need to do:

  • Capable of preparing Contract Baseline Schedule and / or revised Schedules with assistance of the project team.
  • Capable of implementing the following procedures:
  1. Control of Planning & Scheduling.
  2. Progress Measurement
  3. Reporting
  • Reviews the project(s) schedule(s) updates done by the Planner(s) / Lead Planners and liaise & coordinate with the different project teams to maintain proper progress recording and/or monitoring of the project(s) schedule(s).
  • In coordination / consultation with the Manager of Planning (Corporate) highlights to the Project’s Management any deviation and / or delays from the approved plan.
  • Participates in coordination with the Manager of Planning (Corporate) & the Project Controls Manager in the preparation of claims & extension of time.
  • Liaises and assists the Project Controls Manager in preparing weekly, monthly reports, budget preparation and maintains proper project planning records.
  • Liaises between the site project management and the client management.

What you will need to have:

  • B. Sc. in Engineering (Preferably Civil Engineering)
  • 15 – 20 years’ experience, with vast planning experience in planning & scheduling for EPC Multi-Discipline projects (in terms of Projects Sizes / Values, Projects Owners / Clients), with at least one (1) successfully delivered EPC Drill & Blast Tunneling project is considered Essential.
  • At least one (1) successfully delivered EPC Drill & Blast Tunneling project is essential.
  • Having effective communication skills and capabilities to interact with the various projects departments in the preparation of Baselines and/or Revised plans in accordance to project requirements.
  • Must be a collaborator -“Team Player’’- and capable to direct, convey experience and energize younger planning team members (Lead Planners / Planners).
  • Capable to work initiate quick monitoring tools in assistance with the project planning team members (Lead Planners / Planners) as well as projects controls teams to monitor deviations from original plans.
  • Capable of investigating, recording, and reporting immediately the reasons for such deviations.
  • Ability to deal with planning teams of ‘’Engineering Consultants” and “Subcontractors’’ to make them prepare their schedules to be in-line with the project requirements.
  • Leadership capabilities specially in ‘’JV’s and Consortiums’’ for the sake of convergence of views and/or opinions.
  • Full awareness of Delay Analysis methods.
  • Awareness of “Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis “software is a preference.
  • Excellent command (written and oral) of English language
