We are constantly growing and are currently looking for an experienced Methods Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable Technical Office Team for Marine and Infrastructure Projects in our Athens Office. 

Job Description

Role summary:

You will be involved in impactful mega international EPC projects, and you will have the opportunity to add value to our mission, learn from multidisciplinary teams and grow within a world class team.

You will be part of the Marine & Infrastructure Division (MID) and support the Technical Offices and Construction teams across countries. We will count you on you for the design of temporary works, construction engineering, and technical documentation.

What you will need to do:

  • Assist in preparation of special materials/equipment RFQs and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that comprehensive and consistent quotations are received (during tender and project phase).
  • Technical Bid Evaluations through Archirodon's procurement control system (and optional Commercial) of MEP materials quotations and subcontracts
  • Support the Division Technical Manager, such as preparation of sequencing and Time Schedule using Primavera or other software (tender and project phase)
  • Follow up of MEP progress for specific assigned projects, ensuring integration of Engineering, Procurement and Construction
  • Support Division Technical Office and Projects' Technical Offices in special MEP tasks
  • Presence at site, as required but not exceeding the 30% of the working days, annually. Undertake the role of MEP manager for a short period (max 3 months) until the assignment of the project MEP manager
  • Assist in production of cost estimates and assist estimators providing his/her technical expertise in order a comprehensive and techno commercially competitive proposal to be submitted (tender phase)
  • Contribute in the preparation of MEP execution plan, mainly indicating the method, the procurement strategy and the logistics to be followed in a tender and project
  • liaise with the project MEP and TO manager for the preparation of the MEP constructability reviews
  • Reviewing budgets prepared by the project teams
  • Review consultants’ specifications and subcontractors’ submittals for ER compliance
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations with Partners/Clients in the complete spectrum of a Proposal (technical, commercial, and contractual)-tender phase.
  • Participate, as required in meetings with Partners/Clients during project execution
  • Participate in construction meetings with the MEP Manager, follow the project's progress, contribute to the solution of technical and construction issues and propose mitigation plans during the project execution

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a construction contractor/industry
  • BEng or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Master’s degree would be considered a plus
  • Excellent English command (written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy, including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Primavera or Microsoft Project software
  • Knowledge of any Project Management tool would be highly welcomed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A team spirit and possesses international mindset, particularly in a multicultural environment
  • A “can-do” attitude, flexibility and hands on mentality
  • Eagerness to learn and professionally developed
