Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a high caliber and seasoned Lead Planner to join our top qualified and knowledgeable team in our newly awarded Oil & Gas project in the UAE.

Are you a Lead Planner with at least eight (8) years’ experience in a similar role and at least one (1) Oil & Gas project in Middle East at your records? Role Summary:                                                                                                                
Working closely with the Planning Manager and project team and leading team of project planners, you will manage and oversee the planning and scheduling for an EPC Oil & Gas project and you will drive the corresponding reporting activities.

What you will need to do:                                                                                               

  • Prepare Contract Baseline Schedule and / or Revised Schedules in coordination with the Planning Manager and the project team
  • Assist the Planning Manager at project start in the preparation of all reports and / or registers to assure the implementation of the following procedures:
  1. Control of Planning & Scheduling
  2. Progress Measurement
  3. Reporting
  • Review the project(s) schedule(s) updates done by the planner(s) and liaise & coordinate with the different project teams in order to maintain proper progress recording and/or monitoring of the project(s) schedule(s).
  • In coordination with the Planning Manager, highlights to the Project’s Management any deviation and / or delays from the approved plan.
  • Participate in coordination with the Planning Manager & the Project Controls Manager in the preparation of claims & extension of time.
  • Liaise and assist the Project Controls Manager in preparing weekly, monthly reports, budget preparation and maintains proper project planning records
  • Participate in periodic Project team meetings to elaborate the project’s schedule and the progress status
  • Record any suggested changes and / or deviations from the plan andadvice of its effect on the overall schedule

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

  • B.Eng in Engineering, with preference to Mechanical discipline; Master degree in related areas will be highly welcomed
  • Minimum of eight (8) experience as a Planner or relevant job role for large-scale, complex projects
  • Portfolio of at least one (1) EPC  large-scale Oil & Gas related project and of at least one (1) in Middle East region
  • Demonstrated in depth experience in construction planning/scheduling, cost control and estimating
  • Computer literacy, including use of MS Office and knowledge of Primavera (P3 or P6) 
  • Very good command (written and oral) of the English language
