Job Description
Schedule: Night Shift
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a strong focus on Infrastructure Automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives to streamline infrastructure processes, and automate routine tasks using cutting-edge tools and technologies. Expertise in tools such as PowerShell, GitHub Actions, Terraform (HashiCorp), and DevOps methodologies is essential for success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Automation:
· Automate routine infrastructure tasks using tools like PowerShell, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
· Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and operational efficiency.
· Design, test, and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and manage resources effectively.
2. System Administration and Optimization:
· Manage and optimize end-user systems, including configuration, patch management, and performance tuning.
· Oversee the deployment and lifecycle management of end-user devices and applications.
3. Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
· Lead efforts to identify, respond to, and resolve security incidents affecting end-user systems.
· Perform root cause analysis and develop preventive measures for recurring issues.
4. Collaboration and Training:
· Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to align end-user security strategies with organizational goals.
· Provide mentorship and training to junior team members on security and automation best practices.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation scripts, security policies, and incident response procedures.
· Generate reports on automation outcomes, security metrics, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation.
- Proven experience with tools like PowerShell, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and other DevOps-related technologies.
- Strong understanding of endpoint management and security frameworks
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other programming languages (Python, Bash).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their automation tools.
- Knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and secure device management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Minimum of 4-year degree in an Information Technology field or something similar
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate is a plus but not required.
- Certified DevOps Professional (AWS or Azure) is a plus but not required.
