Shift Assignment: Mid Shift
Arch Insurance Group is seeking a motivated aspiring actuary to join our team. Our group supports the Corporate Underwriting (CU) team. In this role, you will conduct actuarial audits and build dashboards to enhance the efficiency of the CU team. You will also identify needs and build tools to enhance support of the CU team.

Job Responsibilities
The primary role will be to provide actuarial support for Corporate Underwriting audits. You will also assist the CU team with assessing and monitoring risk. The position will have the opportunity to lead as a liaison representing the actuarial team with business partners.
- Job Functions
- Participate and contribute to audits for both North America and International business units
- Produce and maintain the CU Risk-Based Audit Dashboard.
- Provide training on actuarial concepts to the CU audit team.
- Complete any ad-hoc requests and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in actuarial science and insurance; no experience required.
- Interest in and ability to complete the actuarial exams and achieve professional property & casualty actuarial credentials.
- Software skills: Advanced Excel and proficient with Word/PowerPoint; basic knowledge of any programming language (SQL, Snowflake, VBA, Python, etc.) and desire to learn new tools. Power BI experience a plus.
- Communication: both oral and written communication skills including presentations. Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Leadership: Able to lead discussions with cross-functional team.

Additional Information
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics.
