Job Description
Shift: Night Shift
The role is responsible for supporting all monthly and quarter close activities for Corporate Companies, which is incorporated into Arch’s consolidated financial statements. The primary functions include maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, performing financial variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger activity for multiple corporate companies, which includes recording operating expenses, preparing accruals, and validating GL coding for Accounts Payable postings.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and expense account analyses including detailed reviews of expenses and ensuring appropriate accruals are recorded.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly operating expenses variance analysis for multiple periods and provide concise insightful commentary.
- Analyze and explain quarterly balance sheet movements.
- Analyze quarterly operating expenses for 35+ cost centers, including how those costs get allocated to affiliates.
- Participate in the quarterly preparation and distribution of intercompany invoices to affiliate subsidiaries. Work with operating entity customers to explain the charges, including variances over periods.
- Support the delivery of accurate and timely services and reporting to affiliate client companies.
- Work on special projects including inactivating GL accounts, fixed asset subledger projects not limited to retiring fixed assets with zero book value, etc.
- Track legal, audit and other expenses.
- Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, updating documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in maintaining general ledgers and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Strong computer skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, with advanced Excel skills along with general database skills.
