Job Description
Shift: Mid Shift
The QA Manager will oversee the software quality assurance testing process responsible for improving the quality, consistency and reliability of software product deliverables. This role will establish, manage and communicate software QA practices and procedures and coordinate software product testing processes.
- Partner with product teams to develop, implement and manage processes to ensure that software products meet required specifications for quality, functionality and reliability prior to delivery
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and policies
- Establish and maintain an automation testing framework.
- Coordinate all aspects of QA testing for software product releases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives
- Collect and analyze quality metrics and stakeholder feedback to optimize quality assurance operations and improve software product quality
- Manage a team of QA engineers and participate in hiring and onboarding
- Establish guidelines, polices and best practices for Test Environment management.
- Ensure compliance with standards and practices
- Define and manage the QA Team’s roadmap
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of software QA experience with 5+ years managing a software QA function.
- Ability to facilitate a strong team environment, support and guide staff in goal setting, career path planning and skills development
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and maintain calm in stressful situations
- Have a high Emotional Quotient and empathy toward all colleagues
- Be able to interview, hire and train QA personnel
- Highly motivated and self-directed individual with the ability to drive process improvement
- Strong capacity to build and work with teams and collaborate across functions and breakdown silos
- Strong business results orientation who can understand the needs of business and deliver quality results
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience performing cause and effect analysis
- Well-organized and able to work on and manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Software test automation experience
- Experience architecting/managing a data driven automation framework.
- Coding skills in any of Python, Java, C#. Proficiency in SQL.
- Knowledge of API testing with tools like JMeter, REST Assured, Postman, etc.
- Proficiency in test management and execution tools. XRAY preferred.
- Experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance domain.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
