Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at Edinburgh, EH13 0PP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and customer-focused individual to join a busy team, supporting a range of catering and service operations within a secure environment.

The Role

As a General Assistant, you will provide support across various areas of the operation, including food service, customer service and general housekeeping duties. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will play an important part in ensuring a high-quality experience for customers while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service in catering and service areas
• Serving food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner
• Assisting with food preparation and presentation
• Operating tills and processing customer transactions accurately
• Replenishing food counters, vending areas and stock as required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout work areas
• Assisting with washing up and general housekeeping duties
• Following food safety, health & safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Supporting colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail or customer service is desirable but not essential
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices is advantageous

Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of the site, successful applicants must:

• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have resided in the UK for at least 3 years
• Be able to successfully obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment and security clearance checks.
