Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our team in Pirbright, GU24 0DT. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate culinary professional to work alongside the Catering Manager, leading a busy kitchen operation and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional food and service.

Job Description

As Head Chef, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of catering services, leading from the front and ensuring high standards are maintained across all aspects of the kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Running shifts and working closely alongside the Catering Manager
  • Leading and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver high-quality and innovative menus
  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations and food production standards
  • Supporting budget management and ensuring resources are used effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
  • Building strong relationships with clients and responding positively to customer feedback
  • Training and coaching team members on new procedures, equipment, and company policies
  • Driving continuous improvement across the kitchen operation
  • Supporting the development and progression of team members
  • Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, and service standards

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in large-scale contract catering
  • Experience leading and motivating kitchen teams
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Culinary Skills (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for food, customer service, and team development
  • Positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work

Additional Information

  • Must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years due to security vetting requirements
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to pass the required security clearance checks
