Job Description
Position Title: ScrumMaster
Duration 1 year
Department / Functional Area: IT, Application Management
Reports to: Application Manager and/or Project Technical Leader
Work Location: Malaysia
Geographical Responsibilities: Malaysia
Position Objective: To assist the Application Manager/Technical Leader/Senior Solution Analyst in implementation and execution of all initiatives according to the Application Management division strategy He/She manages the solution area under him/her and the roadmap for the technology platform or the end solutions supported and acts as the SME for key technology areas. To implement solution according to design philosophies emphasizing on system attributes such as flexibility and modularity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Ensure the Scrum team adheres to Scrum values, practices, and rules
• Teaches the Scrum team by coaching and by leading it to be more productive and produce higher quality products
• Helps team members understand and use self-organization and cross-functionality, and also helps them do their best in an organizational environment that may not yet be optimized for complex product development
• Makes judgment calls in case of uncertainty, and has a quiet and confident demeanor• Tasks to be assigned by Application Manager/Project Technical Leader
Functional Reports Information Technology
Financial and Non-Financial Measures: Performance Metrics: Based on PMS goals set and Critical Capabilities
Communication Requirements
Communication requirements will span 1 to 1, one to many and all levels within division, across the organization and external vendors/partners.
Internal Colleagues 30-40%
External Partners / Stakeholders / Regulators / Vendors 60-70%
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT application development environment with skill set of Agile ScrumMaster and others as added advantages
- Sound experience in execution of IT projects with high level of expertise in system application and technology implementation delivery.
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations including distribution channels modus operandi as added advantages
- Able to work independently and highly self-motivated
- Able to work with peers and other stakeholders, a team player
Qualifications
- Degree in IT from an accredited institution.
