Job Description

To support the continuing expansion of Emissions type approval activities in the UK, we are seeking a suitable professional to join our UK emissions team.

The Emissions Engineer is responsible for:

  • Project management and the technical delivery of Emissions activities across the existing client base.
  • Client-facing, customer-focused role working across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers (cars, motorbikes, trucks...).
  • Supporting the team in worst-casing and technical interpretations.
  • To verify and monitor the quality of Departmental documentation.
  • To generate technical reports and approval certificates to meet client homologation requirements.
  • Keep updated about all the innovations, findings, news, and regulations changes in their field.

Desired profile

  • Previous homologation/type approval experience is essential in Passenger Car (WLTP) and Heavy Duty Emissions especially the following regulations R(EU)134/2014, R(EU)715/2007, UN R.083, UN R.085, UN R.101, UN R.103.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in RDE testing and analysis of results.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, technical, and safety requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of automotive market trends and innovations.
  • Fluency in English language (other languages will be valued). 
  • Strong project planning and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative and inclusive team spirit.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (other relevant engineering disciplines or experience will be considered).
  • Practical knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive OEM processes.
  • Sales/Engineering/Technical knowledge. 
  • Commercial, costing, engineering, or programme management knowledge. 
  • Full driving license required.
