Engineering services: Comprehensive design, engineering, and validation capabilities for complete vehicle development projects: CAD, CAE and testing of all major vehicle functionalities. Job Description

Based in Pune, you will report to the Head of Business Development India and to IDIADA’s corporate Director for Sales & Client Management. You will oversee the Key accounts in the western & northern region commercial processes in India and a local and potentially regional team including strategic key accounts as well as establish clients’ relationship strategies.

 

Your main tasks will involve developing business consultative sales processes for every service of the organization focusing on the needs of the regions & cooperating with productive areas to ensure revenue growth,  increasing client satisfaction & timely payments from the OEMs and Tier ones.

 

Implementation of Client Strategy

  • Continue developing preferred supplier status with both commercial and technical teams at the Key accounts.
  • Establish a network of trusted contacts within western & northern regions, understanding the client's requirements, promoting the development of personal relations, building long-term relationships, and expanding products and markets
  • Ensure the best payment terms to ensure regular cash flow for the business units
  • Define along with the marketing team and BD head the appropriate market strategy, Tech days, conferences for the Key accounts
  • Support the BD Head in the key target markets out of India
  • Prepare client strategies with our global KAMs for the multinational clients under your responsibility

 

 

Market Research

  • Provide business intelligence on your clients product development plans to help define marketing and product strategies that will meet their needs and expand the services we offer to them.
  • Identify legislative changes impacting your clients product planning
  • Communicate it to the Productive Areas, establish proper strategies to move closer to the clients and satisfy their needs

 

 

Consultative Sales Process

  • Collaborate with the Productive Areas establishing sales policies (prices, schedules, terms, conditions…), elaborating and tracking quotations
  • Manage and monitor the progress of projects with your key clients
  • Propose alternatives or development of current products if necessary
  • Negotiate with the client and approve the quotation together with other Product Directors, Product Heads, and Account Managers

 

 

Management of Human resources

  • Manage and coordinate your multinational team assigning objectives, tracking them and giving technical support when necessary
  • Contribute to building and consolidating an organizational culture based on surpassing clients´ expectations
  • Motivate & mentor the team of 1 account manager & Sales assistant to achieve job satisfaction and commitment
  • Identify and develop the talent, guaranteeing the training and development actions if needed
  • Evaluate and monitor team's individuals’ performance, differentiating contributions and recognizing high performers, sharing responsibility with his/her direct supervisor

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar position within the Indian automotive market and not less than 5 managing a sales team
  • Previous experience in engineering or high technical level services
  • Deep understanding of the local/client's and government business culture
  • Able to define marketing strategies
