Job Description
As a leader within IDIADA's vehicle dynamics department, you will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring the team. Your responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of vehicle dynamics testing, from objective ride & handling to subjective assessment and tuning.
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Develop plans for vehicle dynamics testing projects and efficiently allocate resources to meet project goals.
- Project Oversight: Monitor project execution, ensuring both technical excellence and organizational effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and motivate a team of test engineers, providing constructive feedback and assessing their skill levels to define training plans.
- Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the head of the workshop to allocate resources effectively for each project.
- Procedure Development: Define and supervise the implementation of working procedures, testing methodologies, and data analysis processes.
- Asset Management: Oversee all assets related to vehicle dynamics testing, including instrumentation, software licenses, and computers.
- Client Interaction: Support the sales process by creating and disseminating presentations, papers, and webinars. Liaise with customers to understand and meet their needs.
- Commercial Offers: Prepare, validate, and/or review project proposals and quotations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience in automotive development, preferably related with chassis and vehicle dynamics testing.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in vehicle instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis. Ability to define resources and timing for testing activities.
- Driving Skills: High driving skills are an asset, with certification from an OEM or supplier preferred.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of vehicle dynamics theory, especially related to full-vehicle performance. Basic grasp of the performance development process.
