About You

You are a DevOps Engineer who builds secure, efficient CI/CD pipelines and reusable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You combine strong pipeline engineering with Terraform and container expertise, and you operate core GCP services independently while helping development teams adopt standardized Golden Paths.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud environments.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience building complex CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, including testing, security, and multi-zone deployments.
  • Experience creating reusable Terraform modules aligned with team standards.
  • Hands-on experience operating GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL autonomously.
  • Experience with Docker and container strategy, including image optimization.
  • Experience managing Artifact Registry, including versioning and cleanup.
  • Experience integrating automated vulnerability scanning into CI pipelines (DevSecOps).
  • Strong communication skills to work closely with development teams.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work autonomously.
  • Working knowledge of English is required; Spanish will be the primary language of communication within the project.
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate and Google Associate Cloud Engineer certifications are desired, as well as Docker and container strategy training.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

  • Build complex CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing, security, and multi-zone deployments.
  • Create reusable Terraform modules for development teams.
  • Manage GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL with autonomy.
  • Integrate automated vulnerability scanning into pipelines as part of DevSecOps practices.
  • Reduce pipeline execution times through caching and parallelism.
  • Manage versioning and cleanup of Artifact Registry.
  • Support development teams in adopting Golden Paths.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions for complex, multi-zone pipelines.
  • Experience with Terraform reusable modules and Docker container strategy.
