About You
You are an experienced Technical Trainer who thrives in fast-paced environments, leading technical enablement initiatives and helping users successfully adopt new products, platforms, and processes. You are passionate about transforming complex technical concepts into engaging learning experiences that drive user confidence, operational readiness, and business success.
You excel at designing and delivering effective training programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving learning experiences through data, feedback, and measurable outcomes. As a mentor and strategic partner, you guide junior team members, promote knowledge sharing, and proactively identify opportunities to improve adoption, training effectiveness, and overall user experience.
Note: This is a temporary 6-month opportunity.
You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Psychology, Business Administration, Education, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Training, Instructional Design, Product Enablement, or Delivery Enablement.
- Advanced English proficiency with excellent presentation, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or equivalent frameworks.
- Hands-on experience applying Bloom’s Taxonomy to develop measurable learning objectives.
- Experience leveraging the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model to measure training effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Experience facilitating technical or functional training sessions for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and coordinating training deployments.
- Strong ability to mentor junior trainers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end instructional design and delivery process for software releases and technical enablement initiatives.
- Drive Sprint 0 impact assessments to identify adoption risks and determine training requirements.
- Design and oversee the creation of user guides, facilitator guides, job aids, quick reference materials, demo scripts, and training videos.
- Translate complex technical specifications into clear, user-friendly learning content.
- Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, technical enablement workshops, and sandbox certification activities.
- Coordinate post-release adoption initiatives, monitoring user progress and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Design and execute knowledge assessments to measure learning effectiveness and user readiness.
- Analyze adoption metrics, certification results, and user feedback to continuously improve training materials and delivery strategies.
- Mentor and support the Junior Tech Trainer in content development, training preparation, and Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
- Collaborate with Delivery, QA, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful user adoption and operational readiness across all releases.
- Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate adoption risks before they impact business operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Training, Instructional Design, or Product Enablement.
- Experience designing and delivering technical training programs using instructional design methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
