The Clinical Laboratory Scientist accurately performs all clinical laboratory testing including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, microscopy, microbiology and transfusion services.

 Tests are performed using a variety of examination and analytical methods on materials derived from the human body for the purpose of providing information for diagnosis, treatment and/or health assessment, or prevention of disease, in patients of all ages.

Reports results substantiated by the proper use of appropriate quality control systems; actively participates in proficiency testing.
