Ab Initio Admin with Automation

Position: W2

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Duration:12+ month

Job description:

NOT LOOKING FOR A DEVELOPER but an admin with the direct experience below:

•             Strong expertise in managing and administering the Ab Initio platform — including installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing support, with a focus on stability and performance (not development of graphs or ETL).

•             Solid experience in automation using Python or Ansible — specifically for infrastructure or platform management tasks such as deployments, monitoring, and maintenance scripting.

•             Hands-on experience working with Red Hat Linux environments — with comfort in performing administrative tasks and troubleshooting issues on enterprise-grade Linux systems.

•             Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — understanding how Ab Initio or similar platforms operate in cloud environments and ability to manage or migrate services in a GCP context.

•             Strong consultative and communication skills — able to partner strategically with internal stakeholders, understand business priorities, and advise on complex platform engineering challenges.

•             Broad knowledge of software engineering processes — with at least 5 years of experience in software/platform engineering roles, and an understanding of compliance, risk, and governance in a highly regulated financial institution.
