The Path Forward Return to Work program at Verizon Digital Media Services is a 16- week paid internship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. Job Description

Associate Project Managers are responsible for supporting the activities of the PMO. Their duties include organizing and distributing reporting data, administrative work in various ticketing systems, and recording meeting notes and action items. During this time, APMs will also focus on learning the processes followed by the PMO and expanding their project management skills through online learning modules and readings. During their time as APM, the employee will be given the opportunity to assume responsibility for managing a project or scrum team as a means of transitioning to the next level.

Expectations at this level: completing assignments accurately and on time, high level of organization and follow-through. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to interface effectively at different levels of the organization.

Training at this level: Attendance at internal trainings and onsite learning events, training modules and reading outlined in the individual's learning plan.


What you get to do every day:

1 year of experience in a technology or internet-oriented project coordination or project management role

Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience in process and implementation management in a technology company

Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, TDD, Continuous Integration

CSM or PMI-ACP highly desired

Technology expertise: web software, application infrastructure, content delivery, video streaming, IP transit, and server architecture highly desired
