Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pitch story ideas using HuffPost VOD pitch guidelines

  • Oversee multiple videos from pitch to completion on a weekly basis-- with a focus on lifestyle/entertainment content

  • Be a storyteller

  • Write comprehensive scripts and select compelling elements

  • Find and develop original, newsworthy, creative stories

  • Research and pre-produce every shoot; meet with crew and post-production teams

  • Work with editors to finesse each video

  • Meet deadlines and prove ability to multitask

  • Collaborate with editorial to find the best video asset for an article

  • Follow workflow procedures with pitches, shoots and post-production



  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience with multimedia video production at a top production company, creative agency or digital media/publisher (lifestyle/entertainment content preferred)

  • Highly-skilled storyteller

  • Experience managing VOD shoots

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in high-pressure environment

**This position is in the WGA-E bargaining unit.
