HuffPost UK’s Style writer will be a font of breaking fashion and beauty news (for women and men). They’ll know how to spot an emerging trend before it breaks and understand what makes a story viral.
They will be responsible for sourcing and writing news and features, updating social media and supporting the editors in their day-to-day, as well as working with video teams to create engaging, sharable video.
Video and social are two key components of this role, so the ideal candidate will be in their element as the ‘face’ of the section and will be bursting with ideas for sharable video and how to grow an engaged social audience.
The role of HuffPost UK’s Style writer will sit on the Life team, managed by a Life Editor.
This is mainly a Monday-to-Friday job, but the Style writer will be expected to work occasional evening/weekend shifts to cover events such as London Fashion Week and award ceremonies.
Experience of an online publication is essential, as is the ability to flourish under the pace and demands of a busy newsroom.
