Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI Engineer who thrives at the crossroads of design and engineering to join our team. Responsibilities include converting existing webform applications into API-driven single page applications. You will work alongside fellow UI engineers, UX designers, as well as core engineering and infrastructure teams to bridge the gap between technical complexity and intuitive user experience. We are building a suite of modular, single page applications using Ember.js, and Bootstrap

Responsibilities

•Developing new and maintaining scalable, high-performance user facing applications using Ember.js with a modern web-stack (HTML5, CSS3, bootstrap)

•Work closely with the UX team and product stakeholders to ensure the success of projects beginning with the technical feasibility of designs, rapid prototyping and iteration, all the way through to testing and production integration

•Work closely with API team members to identify data requirements, refine schemas and API contracts

•Build, refine and help maintain shared libraries, modules, patterns, and style guides

•Optimize applications for speed and scalability

•Maintain an on-going understanding of CDN operations and the impact the portal has on client and company goals

Qualifications

•Proficient understanding of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3

•Demonstrated understanding of modern client-side libraries and frameworks such as Ember.js (preferred), AngularJS and jQuery

•Strong understanding and experience with Test Driven Development

Experience with the D3 charting library is a big plus

•Familiarity with preprocessors like LESS, Sass

•Strong understanding of version control systems, specifically Git & Github

•Strong understanding of SPA architecture, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

•Experience using agile methods to deliver software solutions is preferred

•Experience Leading a technical team is a plus
