The purpose of the Marketing Business is to sustainably maximise cash flows from the marketing of Anglo American products and services. In support of this, we have set ourselves a target to deliver a considerable uplift in value.

As a result of the changing environment in commodity markets, Anglo American has centralised its marketing & sales activities in one Marketing Business in order to enhance commercial capabilities and extract full value of the commercial value chain. With the centralisation new ways of working, efficient processes and procedures, standardised IM systems as well as a new organisational model are being implemented to create a world class centralised, super-efficient, twin centred marketing function that can anticipate market developments and proactively plan sales and marketing activities with full information, visibility, and a fast, efficient decision-making process.

Job Description

Role Purpose

To coordinate and deliver P&O integration workstreams and strategic initiatives, providing effective planning, governance and stakeholder alignment to ensure priorities, risks and dependencies are actively managed and agreed outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities include

P&O Integration and Project Delivery

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of assigned P&O integration workstreams and strategic initiatives.
  • Translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and ownership.
  • Track implementation and proactively address delivery risks, issues and interdependencies.
  • Support change and stakeholder engagement activities required for successful implementation.

Portfolio Governance and Reporting

  • Maintain an integrated view of P&O initiatives, including progress, risks, decisions, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Prepare concise leadership updates, agendas and decision materials.
  • Maintain decision and action logs, following up with accountable owners to support timely execution.
  • Escalate material risks, delivery constraints and trade-offs for leadership attention.

Process and Policy Integration

  • Coordinate the review and alignment of P&O policies, processes and ways of working arising from integration or transformation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve processes and employee experiences.
  • Support documentation, communication and implementation of agreed changes.

Policies, Processes & Ways of Working

  • Build effective working relationships across P&O, integration teams and relevant business functions.
  • Analyse project and people-related information to identify emerging issues and provide practical recommendations.
  • Facilitate alignment across related workstreams and help prevent gaps or duplication.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support other priority P&O initiatives where these align with the role’s project delivery, governance, integration and coordination responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree qualification in a relevant discipline

Knowledge

  • HR Business partnering experience 
  • Rewards experience beneficial
  • Experience of working for multiple stakeholders an advantage
  • Experience of working with people from different cultures/geographies
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong presentation and report development skills
