Job overview

  • Element Six would like to recruit for the position of Senior Process Engineer.
  • As part of the Engineering team, the primary role of the successful candidate will be ensure processes are in control and running at targeted run rates and yield
  • The role includes establishing and maintaining Process Performance KPI’s, BOMS & Routes, FMEA’s and Control Plans
  • This role is a technical role, requiring attention to detail, as well as problem solving through data analysis using good engineering & scientific methods.

 

Duties and tasks

  • Primary role is to support and ensure production processes are in control and running at targeted run rates and yield
  • The role involves working closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Maintenance.
  • Ensure Safety is a number one priority in all work carried out.
  • Responsible for Process KPI’s, in particular, Capability and Yield.
  • Responsible for BOMS & Routes, FMEA’s and Control Plans
  • Drive Process Improvement Initiatives – Scrap Reduction, Cycle time and Capability
  • Develop and implement countermeasures to address quality, efficiency and yield issues
  • Support capacity expansion through equipment, fixturing and metrology investments
  • Put in place efficient, robust & repeatable manufacturing processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Process Engineering experience
  • Appropriate Engineering qualification. NFQ Level 8 or higher.
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Process Improvement Activity.
  • Some experience in Six Sigma and lean systems is an advantage.
  • Examines data to understand issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication, people and team working skills.
  • A team player with a can do, pro-active attitude and a passion for improvement.
  • Good understanding of health & safety standards as well as quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
