Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Safety: Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.

Performance and Delivery

  • Supports the Section Manager Metal Accounting in delivering the business unit’s Metal Accounting strategy and the business metal accounts
  • Effective operation of metal accounting systems
  • Effective and accurate publication of metal accounting streams
  • Support operations to execute their Metal Accounting responsibility to the required standard
  • Timeous and accurate reporting of Metal Accounting data to both internal and external stakeholders
  • System Super user in that they ensure system performs as required
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports for management or other customers

People & Teams:

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory, legislative and permitting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Chemistry or related degree/diploma or NQF Level 6 OR Proven extensive experience in Metal Accounting systems and data management supported by a relevant systems certification.

Experience

  • 3 years’ + experience within the field of Metal Accounting, with an expert understanding of the systems used and the business’s metal accounting practice
  • Proven systems and processes experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Compilation and reporting metal accounts
  • Advanced understanding of the metal accounting system used within the business
  • Proficient skills in data management and reporting
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
