The Sakatti deposit is located in Finnish Lapland near the town of Sodankylä, and within the existing exploration permit areas fully owned by Anglo American Sakatti Mining Oy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglo American Plc. The Sakatti deposit is a unique, poly-metallic deposit that contains seven payable metals, including copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum, palladium, gold, and silver. The mine is targeted to produce two concentrates, high-grade copper and nickel concentrates but has optionality available to produce a bulk Cu-Ni concentrate.

Job Description

N.B This is a Fixed Term contract until December 2026

We are looking for a Records Management Specialist to lead the implementation of a world-class document and records management system that ensures compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices. This role will drive streamlined and efficient information management to support major capital projects and improve capital efficiency. You will develop and maintain the Document Management Plan, set standards and procedures, and provide expert guidance on workflows, retention protocols, and compliance. Working closely with project, technical, and support teams, you will champion best practices, mentor teams, and define performance measures for contractors, ensuring excellence in document control across all project phases.

Core Responsibilities (amongst others):   

  • Conduct industry benchmarking and collaborate with project, technical, and support teams to maintain excellence in document and records management across all phases of the project.
  • Develop the Document Management Plan and associated procedures aligned with IDM and project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve records management standards, guidelines, and procedures used on the project.
  • Create and deliver best-practice content in records and document control aligned with corporate and project objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance to project teams on records management systems, workflows, retention protocols, and implementation practices.
  • Build and mentor the document and records management capability across the broader project team.
  • Define SLAs and procedures to measure and monitor document control performance by EPCM and prime contractors across all IDM stages.
  • Submit monthly reporting consolidating key data from the records management system.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the Principal Record Management function and Project Controls Manager as needed.
  • Serve as the Document and Information Management lead for the project.
  • Demonstrate visible leadership in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) performance.
  • Establish and maintain document registers for all controlled documentation across the project.

Qualifications

  • Extensive practical experience in a similar role and project context.
  • Recognised as a subject matter expert in integrated document and records management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement best-in-class document control systems and initiatives.
  • Proven proficiency in the use and administration of Aconex as the primary document management system.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams as secondary platforms.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and process improvement methodologies.
