This position reads texts and documents to blind clients; helps clients necessary programs and online materials; and provides some note-taking assistance.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree in a closely related field plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties; or, any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of reading, writing, and basic punctuation.
- Skilled in note-taking in various classroom settings.
- Skilled in reading, writing, and basic punctuation and grammar.
- Ability to navigate Canvas and other basic software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
- Willing to assist assigned students as needed. Experience working with students with vision impairments or physical disabilities.
