On behalf of our client, we seek to recruit a IP Network Engineer based in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania. The ideal candidate must have direct experience working in the telecommunications industry.

• Design and implement IP network solutions for a telecommunications business.
• Provide engineering support for network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, and QoS.
• Participate in the planning, installation, and management of network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-profile network incidents.
• Maintain and optimize network performance through continuous improvement plans.
• Document standard operating procedures and network diagrams.

• Minimum 2 year's experience in the telecommunications industry
• Minimum bachelor's qualification in telecommunications engineering or any related field.
• Industry-related experience as an IP Network Engineer
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• IP-based WANs, LANs, and transport hardware and software.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.)
• Familiarity with access control models and network security, Skills in securing networks with firewalls, Cisco ASA, and other security appliances.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Experience with configuring and managing VPNs, particularly IPsec.
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
