Position Overview

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for optimizing processes. Improve processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, operations and implementation. Facilitate the continuous improvement process and procedures. This individual will be responsible to oversee projects and identify and define activities, within the Distribution Center. Develops and prioritize planning, facilitating the implementation of changes, tracking activities, reporting progress, identifies opportunity to improve existing procedures, and workflow process. This position works closely with several departments to ensure that all company processes are improved, maintain efficiency, and support the company to improve sustainability to maximize profitability.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Assess current processes, take measurements and interpret data for improvement opportunity.
  • Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
  • Assist in coordinating projects and schedule project resources ensuring all project resources are efficiently utilized on the project based on scheduling and time reporting systems.
  • Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations.
  • Provides team leadership on individual projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly skilled in technical problem solving involving complex systems, and technical decision-making skills.
  • Develop business by analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions Day-to-Day.
  • Continued efforts to optimize efficiency of the operation and reduce costs. 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Distribution Center
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Knowledge of process related standards.
  • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Communication skills in English Written and Spoken.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related area) preferred.

Physical Demands
