Job Description

Overview

Manage the near-term and mid range planning requirements related to product flow of saleable and non-saleable inventory. This individual will work with the eCommerce, Merchandise Planning, Finance, Transportation, and Purchasing teams to create annual budgets and daily plans, forecast the business based on changes in strategy and business climate, and provide awareness to activities that impact our operational effectiveness during peak and non-peak seasons. The analyst will focus on establishing new processes in support of our continued growth and profitability. Key areas of consideration include storage capacities at distribution centers and stores, carrier and contract allocations, and costs to optimize service, quality, and guest experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with the Finance and Demand Planning team to develop the monthly purchase plan.
  • Serve as the operational planning liaison between Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Purchasing.
  • Propose risk mitigation strategies for core products and communicate risks and opportunities to key stakeholders with enough lead time to react and adjust to current business needs.
  • Work with Merchandise Planning to ensure artwork phase in/out plans are planned to avoid any supply interruption.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate promotional activities into the DC operational assembly planning cadence.
  • Track metrics for demand/supply planning functions.
  • Understand the holiday planning and inventory build strategies and determine if product flow will be constrained based on storage capacity limitations in the DC
  • Develop and enhance tools and business processes
  • Communicate regularly with the fulfillment teams to anticipate impacts to the business

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant supply chain operations or inventory experience required.
  • Business acumen/sound judgment is essential to this function
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office required, MS Excel preferred (Pivot Tables/V-Look ups), experience with a forecast modeling tool helpful, SAP experience helpful
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills (Listens and Communicates Effectively)
  • Ability to learn, adapt and continuously improve (Improves Performance, Shows Curiosity)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
  • Experience with consumer goods and/or cosmetics industry experience preferred
  • Must live in the Greater Los Angeles area
