Job Description

The Cryptologic Cyber Windows Instructor shall:

  • Analyze customer requirements, available training methods and material, and facilities to deliver the required curriculum for classroom instruction
  • Provide classroom instruction that teaches assigned students in the manner described in the course textbooks and materials
  • Manage the instructional content for the assigned topic area
  • Develop and deliver new content and make recommendations for revisions of existing topic area content that is covered by this contract
  • Conduct practical exercises in a laboratory environment, conduct student study hall periods and provide tutoring/remedial instruction

Required Skills

  • Incorporate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and their vulnerabilities into training materials
  • Incorporate the impact of changing Windows Operating Systems technologies into training materials
  • Assess student knowledge, skills and abilities to gauge student proficiency in topic area
  • Apply industry best practices in adult learning principles and theories
  • Deliver instruction via interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities
  • Review and analyze training materials and recommend changes
  • Conduct courses relevant to the assigned topic area

Note that CONUS travel opportunities may also be available.

Qualifications

  • An Associates Degree in Computer Science or a directly related field and two (2) years’ work experience in Windows Operating Systems
  • In lieu of an Associate Degree, a minimum of four (4) years applied practical work experience, within the last six (6) years, in Windows Operating Systems
  • The candidate shall possess knowledge and/or experience in the following areas:
    • Active Directory (AD) (structure, LDAP, group policy, and functional levels/trusts)
    • OS Structure
    • File Systems (FAT 16/32, NTFS)
    • Storage Management
    • WIN2K Directory Structure
    • File and Directory Permissions
    • Alternate data Streams Backup Restoration Process
    • File System CommandsWindows OS Design/Architecture
    • Hardware Abstraction Layer

  • Two (2) years’ experience, within the last three (3) years, in preparing and presenting skills-based instruction to adults in the specified topic area to include facilitating student participation through role playing or operational simulations
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite of products (EXCEL, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Formal, documented training in a web-based or distance-learning teaching technologies, to include on-line forums and multimedia presentations (e.g., Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, SumTotal, Moodle)
  • Certifications in GIAC GCFE, EC-Council CEH, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Network+ are preferred.

Note that an active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance is required.
