About the role

Reporting to the Queensland Trainer, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trainer to play a key role in developing a safe, capable, and high-performing workforce across Ampol Aviation Queensland.

This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continuously improving learning and training programs that support operational excellence, safety, and compliance across Queensland Aviation sites. Working closely with frontline teams, the role will focus on identification of operational daily challenge and align training solutions to business needs, and ensure employees have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and deliver training programs across Queensland Aviation using contemporary learning methods.
  • Partner with the business to identify, schedule, and deliver training requirements on time.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure all documentation is completed and submitted.
  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership through field engagement and participation in incident investigations.
  • Support procurement and supplier management activities in line with established systems and processes.
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to support operational and business outcomes.

 

About you:

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, contemporary training programs while providing ongoing support to operators and stakeholders. They will play a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture, enhancing operational capability, and ensuring the services Ampol provides consistently meet customer expectations and reflect Ampol's values.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Medium Rigid licence (MR)
  • Demonstrated experience in training all levels of Aircraft refuelling/de-fuelling and/or Depot experience
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Good understanding of basic adult learning practices
  • Dangerous Goods licence (desirable)
  • Strong communication skill (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to undertake the Ampol Distribution workplace training program or equivalent.
