Job Description

Summary of the Position
Ampd Energy is seeking a talented and passionate individual to plan, direct, coordinate and execute the various reliability activities and manage external test laboratories to achieve our reliability objectives. You will be working closely with both our R&D, Field Engineering, and Supply Chain teams building and maintaining processes for compliance certification, compliance updates, and ongoing verification.
We are specifically looking for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented, dependable, and excited about being among the first in the world to work with new innovative technologies. Ideally you have extensive Reliability experience and understanding for energy storage products, electric vehicles, or solar energy systems. You will be expected to work well independently and be a clear, effective communicator in English and preferably also Chinese.

 

Specific duties include:

• Manage reliability program for all of the company’s products.
• Define and conduct reliability testing to validate product and system reliability.
• Specify and work with suppliers to implement reliability data reporting from ORT and also field performance. • Support the R&D team by conducting stress testing such as HALT/HASS testing. • Regularly review test data, including ORT test data, from suppliers. • Provide periodic training for the internal team and suppliers on reliability, design for reliability (DFR), reliability test data, and field performance data. • Participate in new product development to ensure reliability issues are addressed throughout the development process and all stakeholders understand requirements from the beginning.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
• Higher diploma or bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Reliability experience, in electrical equipment and ideally with battery systems.
• Great planning skills, and excellent project and time management track record.
• Experience developing reliability models.
• Experience performing reliability analysis, MTBF, MTTF calculations. Experience conducting reliability testing to validate models.
• Experience setting up ongoing reliability test (ORT) programs with third party suppliers.
• Great documentation and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean practices would be viewed positively.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Self-motivated, detailed oriented, organized.
• Good command of spoken and written English, and ideally Chinese.
