Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees employees and ensures the execution of maintenance plans. The Supervisor is primarily responsible for planning and executing preventive, predictive, in collaboration with the Reliability Department, and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, as well as managing spare parts in coordination with the Procurement Department. The Supervisor ensures compliance with health and safety requirements by promoting and applying safe work practices.
What you’re responsible for:
- Supervise maintenance activities in an automated production environment;
- Ensure the effective execution of maintenance team activities;
- Manage current and future equipment and spare parts requirements in collaboration with Management and Procurement;
- Communicate priorities and required changes to the team and management to achieve maintenance objectives;
- Continuously develop and strengthen team skills;
- Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards;
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance shutdowns in collaboration with the Planning Department, while ensuring the proper allocation of labour and material resources to minimize downtime;
- Coordinate work and follow up with external contractors;
- Manage annual performance evaluations and probation periods for direct reports, while supporting supervisors in applying disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies and ensuring annual evaluations are completed for the entire team;
- Ensure employees’ hours are properly entered into the CMMS (Maximo);
- Approve timesheets for direct reports and validate vacation requests in Dayforce;
- Prioritize maintenance interventions based on urgency and impact on production;
- Ensure equipment reliability and safety;
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and recommend sustainable solutions;
- Coordinate repairs in the event of equipment breakdowns;
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve departmental performance;
- Present results and performance indicators to management;
- Drive continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
Qualifications
To join our team:
- DEP en mécanique industrielle, électromécanique ou expérience équivalente;
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en maintenance industrielle;
- Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en supervision d’équipe;
- Expérience dans un environnement de production automatisé;
- Bonnes connaissances en mécanique, hydraulique, pneumatique et systèmes automatisés;
- Excellentes aptitudes en soudure;
- Expérience avec un GMAO, idéalement Maximo;
- Connaissance des méthodes de maintenance préventive, prédictive et de l’analyse de pannes;
- Bonne connaissance des pratiques de santé et sécurité, notamment le cadenassage;
- Leadership, sens de l’organisation et capacité à gérer les priorités;
- Connaissance des KPI de maintenance et de l’amélioration continue.
