Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer (Non-Ferrous Receiver) for our North Bay location. You will be responsible for receiving, sorting and organizing materials, assisting customers on site, operating equipment as required and supporting the general maintenance and day-to-day operations of the yard.
The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
What you’re responsible for:
- Receiving, sorting and organizing different types of non-ferrous metals.
- Covering the scale and weighing trucks as required using the RECY system to accurately track incoming materials.
- Performing general maintenance of the site and yard.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and kept in good working condition.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients on site.
- Operating a forklift as required.
- Working with a strong safety-first mindset and following all safety procedures.
Qualifications
To join our team:
- You have good computer skills
- You have previous experience operating a crane/forklift
- You have previous experience in metal recycling or an industrial environment
- You are comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
- You are physical fit and able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
- You are able to work well in a team and on your own
