Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard DZ Driver to support daily yard operations and transportation needs in the off season. This role requires strong equipment handling skills, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a DZ-class water truck for dust control and site maintenance
- Operate DZ truck; lugger, roll-off in order to perform yard moves of trailers, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently
- Deliver, position, remove and set-off bins as required
- Participate in on-call duties every 2 weeks as per shift rotation for emergency response responsibilities
- Conduct daily circle checks and basic equipment inspections
- Maintain clean and organized yard conditions
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, yard personnel and Health & Safety
- Report mechanical issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly
- Assist with general yard duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating DZ vehicle in congested areas
- Experience with bin placement and yard logistics considered an asset
- Strong understanding of safe driving and equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
- MS /Word/Computer
