Job Description

AIM Recycling in Sept-Îles is looking for its next Supervisor. The main responsibilities include managing, organizing, and planning the daily activities of teams to ensure operational efficiency and quality.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Optimizing site operations
  • Dispatching trucks
  • Sorting ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Classifying metals and identifying material types
  • Managing, coaching, and motivating the team, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Ensuring smooth daily operations with supervisors and following up on all activities
  • Closely monitoring staff and preparing performance reports
  • Setting priorities, analyzing performance gaps, identifying business opportunities, and reducing costs using available tools
  • Preparing reports for management
  • Working toward achieving financial and budgetary targets
  • Controlling inventory and quality
  • Supporting local marketing and responding to site-specific customer needs
  • Defining, developing, and implementing improvements to processes, procedures, and operational policies
  • Enforcing health and safety regulations and ensuring a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the metal industry
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bilingualism in French and English (an asset)
