Job Description
AIM is currently looking for a Non-Ferrous Receiver for its AIM Recycling Thetford Mines site. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for general site upkeep. The employee must also participate in production operations, particularly by sorting ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The position requires working safely while wearing personal protective equipment and following safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and apply company procedures
- Unload, sort, and inspect metals
- Identify types of metals and verify quality
- Operate machinery and industrial tools (loader, forklift, torch)
- Work outdoors in an industrial environment
- Maintain site cleanliness and organization and perform related tasks
- Sort different types of non-ferrous metals
- Classify non-ferrous materials and determine material type
- Weigh materials
- Perform daily maintenance
- Carry out general site maintenance
- Maintain equipment and property in good condition
- Clean work area at the end of the shift
- Enter data into the RECY system
- Provide pricing to customers
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Assist with torch cutting when required
- Prepare shipments and receive materials
- Wear personal protective equipment
Qualifications

Additional Information
- Tuesday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. AND Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.;
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours;
