Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee administrative operations at our metal recycling facility. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day office functions, supporting operational leadership, and maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, industrial environment and bring a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will manage all front-office operations including reception, scheduling, and document control.
- You will support plant leadership with reporting, data entry, and coordination of operational activities.
- You will maintain accurate records related to inventory, shipments, employee timekeeping, and compliance documentation.
- You will liaise with vendors, contractors, and corporate departments to ensure timely communication and service delivery.
- You will assist with onboarding and administrative support for new hires.
- You will monitor and order office supplies, PPE, and other operational necessities.
- You will ensure health & safety documentation and training records are up to date.
- You will coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for site leadership and visiting teams.
- You will support internal audits and regulatory inspections by preparing necessary documentation.
- You will foster a positive and professional office environment aligned with company values.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Excellent skills in Excel required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP or HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of health & safety and environmental compliance is an asset.
Additional Information
- Work Environment: Office located within an active metal recycling facility.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support regional operations or attend training sessions.
