Job Description

As an Accounting Analyst, you’ll report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and will be part of the Finance team of Kenny U-Pull.

  • Oversee various accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Keep the work-in-progress assets (equipment & projects) records up to date, notably by collaborating with various teams (ex. construction, site operations, maintenance teams)
  • Calculate asset depreciation & maintain the continuity schedules.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and sales tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform any ad hoc reporting assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
  • 5 + years of experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of the assets accounting cycle and principles
  • Experience with financial system migration.
  • Proven leadership and critical thinking skills.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Knowledge of Maximo (IBM) and D365 (an asset), Odoo, and Power BI.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Autonomy and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and good organizational skills
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written) necessary
