Job Description

What you're responsible for:

  • Acting as the first HR point of contact for employees and responding to their inquiries promptly or refer them accordingly.  
  • Participating in the execution of various tasks related to the onboarding and offboarding process. 
  • Greeting new hires weekly and play a key role in their first few days of integration. 
  • Executing administrative tasks related to employee movement (transfers, promotions, leaves, etc.) with the support of the Employee Services, Payroll and Benefits teams. 
  • Drafting and revising documents, forms and letters, as needed for different HR purposes. 
  • Generating various HR reports to support business needs, when requested. 
  • Entering employee data into different systems primarily related to employee file management and time and attendance.  
  • Participating in the optimization of HR process in collaboration with other members of the HR team. 
  • Performing all other related tasks to support the HR team. 

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in human resources in a similar position. 
  • You have a either a college degree in Human Resources, similar degree, or professional certificate in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM).
  • You have experience working under union standards (preferred). 
  • You are comfortable with new technologies and have good knowledge of MS Office. 
  • You have interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). 
  • You practice discretion and confidentiality. 
  • You are organized, respectful of deadlines and proactive. 
  • You are thorough and meticulous.
