Job Description

  • The site supervisor will participate in different operations of the yard such as scale, ferrous and non-ferrous departments
  • Act as an administrative support to the site manager in different operations of the yard
  • Manage the need for PPE and other equipment, ensuring their proper use, maintenance, and replacement, if necessary
  • Perform administrative follow-ups of documents related to production and maintenance using internet applications and MS Office suite 
  • Always ensure that the employees follow AIM policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor will be considered as an asset
  • Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered as an asset
  • Knowledge of different heavy equipment and forklifts will be considered as an asset
  • Motivated to learn and step-in other operations when needed  
  • Ability to set and manage priorities in a pressured work environment and quick decision making 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
  • Always strives for excellence and constant improvement
  • Be a positive, engaging, and inspiring leader

HEALTH AND SAFETY 

  • Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures 
  • Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management 

HOURS OF WORK 

  • Permanent and full-time position 
  • 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
