Job Description

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the customer service function and the logistics/procurement control function of the plant located in Bukit Mertajam.

  • Preparing quotations to customers;
  • Customers’ orders fulfilment;
  • Handling of customers’ VMI (Vendor Management Inventory);
  • Order entries into the plant’s ERP system;
  • Execution of shipments to customers (packing/palletizing, generation of invoices & delivery orders and other shipping documents);
  • Liaison with shipping agents (truck drives, forwarders) for on time-delivery;
  • Sourcing of new suppliers, service providers and shipping agents
  • Assist in DG shipment;
  • Preparation of production materials purchasing plan and issuance of orders to materials suppliers;
  • Monitoring of suppliers committed deliveries schedules;
  • Support all purchasing functions including RFQ (request for quote), pricing comparison and negotiations, issuance of PO and other follow-up;
  • Handling imports and export documentation;
  • Assist in filling reports required by LMW (Local Manufacturing Warehouse).

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum SPM. STPM / Diploma (preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Supply Chain;
  • Knowledge in LMW status / Customs procedures
  • Computer skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel & Power Point). Experience in large ERP system (SAP/Oracle) is preferred.
  • Language Skills: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
