American Iron & Metal is in search of a Trade Support Administrator to support our operations in Atlantic Canada and Maine.  The successful incumbent will manage administrative tasks centered around metal commodity trade functions and will be based out of our facility at the Port of Saint John, NB. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations,  the incumbent should possess 2+ years of business acumen as well have an acute level of detail and accuracy in their approach to pricing and financial reporting.  

Responsibilities:

- Update contracts as requested by the sales team and leadership

- Update order tracking files

- Be responsible for ensuring compliance and application of new purchasing department procedures

-  Update scale ticket with contracts

- Ensure that the tools for order booking are up to date

- Produce simple reports for the sales team and leadership

- Standardize work practices

- All other tasks related to the requests of the sales team and leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- You have a minimum of  5 years of administrative experience

- Knowledge of MS Office suite, intermediate level;

- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing in English; 

- Ability to work in a team environment and in collaboration;

- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to give and receive feedback;

- Analytical and synthetic skills;

- Have a sense of organization and structure;

- Demonstrate autonomy and good judgment.
