Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Marketing - Ontario, the Graphic Designer role at AIM is responsible for designing and producing marketing visual tools in line with the division’s brand image. 

Design

  • Design and produce all marketing/visual tools for AIM Recycling ensuring a strong and consistent brand image (internal and external displays, web, traditional media, social media)
  • Participate in the development of the creative aspect of various projects
  • Create mockups and make recommendations for branding on equipment, buildings, etc.

Collaboration

  • Meet with clients or other team members to determine requirements and vision for design elements, which may include multiple strategy meetings
  • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
  • Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project

Creative

  • Assist Director of Marketing with execution of creative output across all applications
  • Ensure accuracy of all creative before approval and execution
  • Ensure that Head Office has all necessary brochures and collateral on hand at all times
  • Support internal departments with creative tasks/executions as needed

Budget and Planning

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions

Other duties as required; The Graphic Designer will experience intermittent peak periods (tied to site openings, events, trade shows, etc.) that will occasionally call for longer hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in graphic arts, design, or related field is an asset
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Premiere, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
  • Agency and consumer facing experience is an asset
