Job Description

The Metals Reclaim Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a metallic waste and secondary metals reclamation program for all of the locations world-wide in collaboration with sales, customer service, logistic and operations teams.

This commercial role consists in developing relationships with existing and potential customers and other manufacturing companies that generates tin leaded and lead free metallic waste by offering a high end reclamation service. This position also requires developing the business by finding new opportunities in the industry.

In collaboration with his/her immediate supervisor, the Metals Reclaim Manager is:

Responsible for ensuring maximum return on dross, oxides and secondary metals purchases while keeping competitive;

Develop a strategic plan and set some measurable objectives to grow the metals reclaim division and run a successful business;

 Identify and develop new dross / scrap purchase opportunities in N-A and Europe;

Coordinate the collection of dross and oxides in a timely manner in collaboration with logistic and customer service;

 Develop long term relationships with existing and potential customers;

Responsible for purchase orders and their contents, including price, description, delivery date, terms and conditions;

Run the reclamation program in a way to be compliant with all regulations at a federal, states and local levels.

Planning, development and implementation of business development strategies that respond to customer needs;

Responsible for contract and term negotiations as well as all legal aspects of purchase contracts;

Handle the settlements / pricing for any dross or oxides purchases;

Travel with the salesmen on a regular basis to support them and promote the reclaim program to the customers;

Provide optimal customer service;

Handles customer complaints and provide feedback in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Experience in a business development and/or purchasing role;

Experience in metals trading is an asset;

Bilingualism (English, French); Spanish is an asset;

Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;

Results oriented person;

Great ease with numbers;

Autonomy, proactivity and desire to learn;

Very at ease with Microsoft Office tools (Specifically Excel);

Strong capacity in listening and communication;

Strong capacity to build professional relationships based on trust and collaboration.

Dynamic individual with initiative and able to work closely with all personnel and departments within the company, with customers and suppliers.
