ABOUT AACOM
Founded in 1898, the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) is the leading voice for the education and training of physicians who practice osteopathic medicine in settings ranging from primary care to pediatrics. We support our member colleges of osteopathic medicine in their efforts to attract and train individuals who are fueled by a desire to make a difference in our healthcare system by treating the whole person and building a future emphasizing health and wellness for all people.
There are currently 42 accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States. These colleges are accredited to deliver instruction at 67 teaching locations in 36 states. AACOM also plays an important part in establishing standards of excellence for medical education at these colleges, and in graduate medical education through internships and residencies at US medical centers, hospitals, clinics, and health systems. Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will oversee the daily operations of a task force within AACOM’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) Initiatives department. This role is essential to advancing residency transitions, osteopathic graduate medical training, and strengthening the osteopathic education model. This position reports to the Vice President of GME Initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate task force programs, events, and workgroups.
- Facilitate communication with leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Manage budgets, archives, and program-related materials.
- Organize and support meetings, including content creation and logistics.
- Conduct research, surveys, and basic data analysis.
- Develop reports, presentations, and content for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with marketing to share task force news through web content, newsletters, and webinars.

The ideal candidate for the Project Manager – UME-GME Task Force role will bring a combination of organizational expertise, communication skills, and a passion for driving meaningful projects. This individual thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is eager to take ownership of initiatives that shape the future of medical education.
A bachelor’s degree, at least two years of experience in project management, proven research capabilities, and familiarity with data visualization tools—such as Tableau—will position the candidate for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time exempt position with health, dental, vacation and 403(b) benefits. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 annually.
Remote / Hybrid
This position is fully remote with some travel required.
