Provides direct support to the Senior Vice President, anticipating needs, summarizing daily and weekly priorities, managing an extensive calendar, resolving scheduling conflicts.
Manages requests for action and information to SVP’s attention, and assists in resolving when SVP not available.
Communicates on behalf of SVP as appropriate.
Drafts, proofreads and edits ocean logistics reports, as assigned.
Works with SVP to create keynote presentations, excel spreadsheets, and various reports.
Coordinates with Ocean Logistics and Land Logistics team to ensure appropriate communication on key priorities within department.
Organizes, schedules and prepares agendas for team meetings; take notes and assigns action items.
Arranges travel and itineraries.
Manage expense reimbursement process.
Maintains contact lists and updates databases, as assigned.
Assist in departmental budgeting, and all paperwork and files.
Provides support for special projects and other duties as assigned by SVP.

Bilingual Chinese Mandarin preferred
Experience in Ocean Logistics, Land Logistics and Freight Forwarding preferred
BA or equivalent combination of skills and experience preferred
Proven ability to deal with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally, with the utmost respect, professionalism.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to take initiative and superior organizational skills.
Superior computer skills: knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, multiple email account management, and web conferencing tools.
Technical savvy to learn new systems and problem solve quickly.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day.
Excellent written English skills, including proofreading, spelling, grammar, and persuasive writing.
- Easy going personality, ability to take direction, and experience working in a fast paced environment is critical.
