Job Description

  • Perform daily HR responsibilities
  • Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains employee directories and listings.
  • Reconciles the benefits statements.
  • Updates and streamlines HR forms and documents
  • Updates employee change requests and processes paperwork.
  • Organize and present new hire orientations
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow up on company policies and procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics including; benefits, payroll, training, and discipline
  • Foster the development of our culture and partner closely with department managers to evaluate team maturity and learning gaps
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and delivery of annual reviews, organization structure development, job design, staffing, compensation, and organization change/effectiveness
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assist with processing of new hire on boarding
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists Assistant Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase employee morale.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by Assistant Manager.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Prepares candidate follow up correspondences to candidates
  • Performs other duties as assigned and supports special projects as needed
  • Assist with all HR programs as needed

  • Manage the HR function when HR Manager is not available; report to HR Manager on any ongoing projects that HR Manager is not involved

  • Assist with the Company Outing and Annual Party

  • Support with special projects as needed

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or HR certification from an accredited program/college

  • 3+ years of administration and general Human Resources functions required

  • 3+ years of experience of full life-cycle recruiting. Experience recruiting for high level and/or technical positions preferred

  • Knowledge of federal and California employment laws, EEO regulations, and standard HR practices and procedures

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to interact effectively, and in a professional, tactful manner with candidates, employees and Senior Management

  • Metrics-oriented, analytical thinker who is able to analyze, interpret, present and act upon data

  • A high level of confidentiality in handling employee information

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, manage priorities and workflow

  • Ability to work independently and as a creative member of various teams

  • Proficient on MS Office, including Excel/Word; experience with Jobvite or other ATS a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and exercise good judgment

  • Present a responsive and polished professional manner

  • Experience maintaining an accurate database of potential candidate resumes versus hiring needs

  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish preferred
  • Honest, dependable, hard-working, detail-oriented, and proactive thinker with a friendly/ positive attitude
  • Relentless with follow-up skills
  • Work well in team environment while being held independently accountable
